ClassBee Privacy Policy

ClassBee is a standalone desktop application. We do NOT operate a multitenant cloud database. Your student records, guardian phone numbers, attendance logs, and financial ledgers remain stored directly on your physical computer. ClassBee does not collect, inspect, monetize, or transmit your records to our servers.
1. Nature of the Software & Scope
This Privacy Policy governs the use of ClassBee ("the Software"), a commercial desktop application designed for coaching institutes, tuition academies, and test preparation centres. This policy explains how information is handled on your local device and the optional integrations you may configure.
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Workstation
When you use ClassBee, all operational data is stored locally in an embedded SQLite database located within your operating system’s secure application storage directory (e.g. %APPDATA% on Windows). This includes:
- Student profiles, enrolments, rolls, batch assignments, and academic scorecards.
- Parent/guardian names, emergency contact numbers, and postal addresses.
- Fee structures, payment transaction histories, outstanding balances, and receipt numbers.
- Batch attendance logs, subject records, examination results, and internal complaint records.
- Institute trade names, logos, receipt prefixes, and academic year settings.
None of this information is transmitted to ClassBee or any third-party marketing networks during normal daily operations.
3. Encrypted Google Drive Backup & Disaster Recovery
ClassBee offers an optional disaster-recovery backup module connecting to your private Google Drive account. When enabled:
- ClassBee creates an AES-256 encrypted snapshot archive of your local SQLite database.
- The archive is uploaded directly from your computer to your personal Google Drive storage.
- ClassBee servers never intermediate, decrypt, or access your backup files.
- This backup serves strictly as a disaster-recovery mechanism, not as a live cloud synchronization service.
4. Native WhatsApp Web Integration
ClassBee provides native WhatsApp message dispatch via an embedded browser QR pairing session (similar to WhatsApp Web). When you connect your institute phone:
- Messages (fee reminders, receipts, attendance notices) are dispatched directly from your paired device.
- Communication is governed by WhatsApp's standard terms and end-to-end encryption protocols.
- ClassBee does not store or read your private WhatsApp conversation histories.
5. Website Inquiries & Lead Generation Data
When you submit a demo request, pricing enquiry, or contact form on this website, we collect your name, institute name, phone number, and email solely to contact you, schedule your live demonstration, and provide commercial consultation. We do not sell, rent, or distribute this lead information to third-party telemarketers.
